What inspires me?

I am inspired by the body’s innate healing power, sometimes called the wisdom of the body. I am inspired by the profound changes in health that can occur with small changes in nutrition, and by the way in which the body and brain seizes its chance to return to health when properly nourished. And I’m always inspired by the people who commit to changing what they eat in order to change the way they feel.

This is my philosophy on food:

Eat food as close to nature as possible.

As a general rule – if you can pick it or dig it up and eat it, eat it .

Shop at farmers’ markets when you can – eat organic.

If you can hunt it or fish it, eat it.

Eat organic, grass - fed, humanely raised meat.

If it’s a food that lists unpronounceable ingredients on the label (which you wouldn’t use in your home kitchen ) leave it.
