Huge thanks to our lovely HBD Club Angel, Debbie Roper, who featured in a fabulous article in the Telegraph in January 2025. It introduced and inspired so many new people to the joys of HBD. It helped them realise that they too, like Debbie, could change the way they looked and felt by changing the way they eat. It introduced them to the knowledge and understanding that they didn’t have to accept steady weight gain, bloating and declining energy as a natural part of midlife. You can read Debbie’s inspiring article here https://www.telegraph.co.uk/health-fitness/diet/weight-loss/human-being-diet-two-stone/ and you can find her on Instagram @reset_debbie_hbd
Debbie, like many of our best loved HBDers, first came across The Human Being Diet thanks to an article featuring Cath Weller, one of our treasured HBD Club Ambassadors.
It was Cath (aka @mrsaddtobasket on Instagram) who first brought HBD into the public eye and the mainstream press with her Telegraph story, ‘How to beat creeping midlife weight gain’ and everyone was blown away by her story and her before and after photos https://www.telegraph.co.uk/health-fitness/diet/weight-loss/which-diet-works-best/ That article, which came out 3 years ago, was followed by a second, https://www.telegraph.co.uk/health-fitness/diet/weight-loss/which-diet-works-best/
Just two years between these photos below: the one on the right was taken to celebrate Debbie’s birthday in June 2025 –Happy Birthday Debbie! Two years older but looking 10 years younger!
Top tip to everyone considering embarking on HBD? Read the book, The Human Being Diet second edition, and read it again.
