Looking back this week, like many of us, and reflecting on the year that’s gone. 2021 was a tough year in many ways. But there were certainly some beautiful silver linings.
January is hot on the heels of December and in 2022 we’re kicking off the first 16 days of HBD on January 10th and there will be more news on that in the next week or so, so keep your eyes peeled!
Time is flying and we’re very much looking forward to our HBD lunch this Saturday, the 20th, at Riccardo’s in Chelsea and to meeting dear friends, old and new.
Looking out of my window last week, at the thick grey clouds, reminded me how important our daily dose of vitamin D really is and I really wanted to tell you about it now so that you can build up your reserves to protect you over the winter.
I was asked a question months ago ‘if your diet is so good why do you need to take all those supplements?’.
The standard NHS advice: ‘Most people should get all the nutrients they need by having a varied and balanced diet’ now has a little caveat added: ‘although some people may need to take extra supplements’. Slowly but surely, one by one, supplements, the latest one being vitamin D, are being recommended to us.
